Read this experiment on Socialism Does it work? Find out
An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”. All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A…. (substituting grades for dollars – something closer to home and more readily understood by all).
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.
As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.
It could not be any simpler than that. (Please pass this on)
Remember, there IS a test coming up. The 2012 elections.
These are possibly the 5 best sentences you’ll ever read and all applicable to this experiment:
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.
Can you think of a reason for not sharing this? Neither could I.

update on vacation
We finally got our bags! We were so happy. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We had the best one ever imaginable. I can’t describe in words what if felt like to be in Bethleham for Christams. For lack of a better word it felt magical. It was beautiful to see people from all over the world coming to Bethleham to Celebrate the birth of our Lord. Even the Prime Minister of Palestine was there. What makes that unique is he is Muslim. There was heavy security because of his presence in the Church. We were able to see the place they believe he was born. I will post pics later. My internet capability is limited. We spent some time on Christmas in Jerusalem because it’s close by. We experianced Jesus beginning and end on Christmas.
We are now in Elat for a few hours and then will travel back to Nazareth. I am having a great time. I wish for all of you to experience Christmas once in your life here. It will take your breath away.
My trip thus far
I am so happy to be here in Israel. I have to admit traveling here has not been easy. Everything started off great. We were bumped up to emergency seating from Phx to New York. We landed in New York and proceeded to the ticket counter. The lady behind the desk noticed that our bags were only going to go to Brussels and she can try to send them to our final destination instead of picking them up in Brussels. We thought that would be great. That way we would have less to carry around for our 12 hour layover. She said if they are unable to reach our bags in time then we would have to pick them up in Brussels. We were happy they would try and intercede them for us. We proceeded to find my sister. She was flying in from Washington. We found her and all was well. Once we boarded we wanted to get some sleep because, we had a long day in Brussels planned. I don’t know if it was the time change or just being uncomfortable for 7 hours in our seats but none of us could sleep. We all woke up at 4 in the morning to make it to our initial flight in time. By the time we landed in Brussels we had been without sleep for 12 hours. We had 12 hours to go before we could bord the plan for sleep. Since we were going to be in Brussels for 12 hours we wanted to see the city a bit before we leave. Before we left the airport, we went to get our luggage because, New York was unable to find our luggage. Our luggage didn’t land in Brussels. We were trying to find out where it was for two hours. The airport officials sent us all over that airport to talk to this person and that person. We finally found the right guy and he put in a claim. He was the most helpful person in the whole place. We were praying that New York was able to find our luggage last min and send it onto Tel-Aviv. We were giving a claim number in Brussels and we were told to check in Tel-Aviv for more information if our baggage was not on the terminal. Once we got to Tel-Aviv my sister and I were stopped for questioning. That delayed us at least a half an hour. By the time we arrived in Tel-Aviv it was 1AM.
We were happy that we were not detained long for questioning. We proceeded to the luggage coursel to find our bags. Let me give you the time frame we are in. We left on Tuesday and we arrived in Israel on Thursday. We were able to sleep a couple of hours on the flight from Brussels to Israel but the total flight was only 4 hours. We didn’t sleep the whole time because it was so noisy. Ok, we are back to our luggage. My sister’s luggage was the first one off the coursel. My husband went to lost and found and I stayed incase the bags showed up. They didn’t show up but, my husband told me they said our stuff would show up the next day on another plan. We put in one change of clothes in our carry-on so that wasn’t a big deal. We proceeded to Nazareth. Nazareth is two hours away from Tel-Aviv. We arrived in Nazareth about 3AM. My husband and I slept until 1PM the next day. We called the airport to see if our clothes arrived, they said no but they believe it will arrive the next day on another flight. They asked us to call the next day at 9AM to see if the bags made the flight.
I was so happy to learn that the bags arrived because, tomorrow is Christmas Eve and we are going to church in Bethlehem and I wanted to dress nice. We had to wash our clothes from the previous day just so we had something to wear today while we went to pick up our clothes from the airport. If we had the airport drop off our clothes they would have charged us a lot of money. It would have been over $100. It was cheaper to drive to get them. Half of today was over by the time we got our clothes. Half of yesterday was over because we woke up so late. Half of our vacation is already over just in getting here and dealing with our baggage. Bummer. However, i have loved the short time I’ve been here with my grandmother. I love talking to her. It’s hard for me to speak to her. I try my best but I can understand her just fine. I just love being around here. I have been able to see all of my uncles except for one and all of my aunts except for two. I am looking forward to see all my cousins within the next few days.
Tomorrow we leave for Bethlehem and Eilat and Jerusalem. I can’t wait for that!. I can’t get over the fact that I will be in Bethlehem for CHristmas. I am truly blessed I have had this opportunity.
Let me tell you a little about Brussels. We took a train from the airport to the middle of town. OH MY GOSH it was beautiful. It rained half the day and the rain made it cold. We walked around the down town area. I just love the architecture. I will post pics later when it’s easier. We did try the chocolate. It was delicious! It defiantly tastes different then in America. There was a big Christmas tree in the middle of town and a huge life-size manger scene next to it. Once you see the pics you will see how tremendous it was to be able to spend some time there. I have been blessed even though we have had some rough times. I think the rough times are behind us now. I think we are able to now really enjoy our vacation. I really love it here. It’s hard to leave here. I love my family so much.
Giddy and happy mood
As my trip to Israel approaches the more excited and happy I become. I am so excited that Christmas is around the corner. I am in a laughing mood. All I want to do today is joke around. I just want people to crack jokes and make me laugh. I have been blessed with some friends that when we get together we laugh a lot. I am really busy though. We are having my husband’s aunt and cousins watch the house while we are gone. It’s been a big blessing to have the doggie door. Duke and Goliath now can come and go as they please and nobody has to be home at any certain time to let them in or out. I love it. It will make it easier for Philip’s family. I cleaned my house on Tuesday. I did everything. I dusted and mopped vacuumed, I did it all. Now it’s about making sure that all our laundry is done. Philip and I bought some winter clothes this year. He went yesterday. I went a couple of weeks ago. I was so proud of the clothes he picked out. I had to go to a sewing class yesterday so I was unable to join him. He is going to look so handsome in his new clothes.
I started on the laundry yesterday but I should try and finish it today. We also are going to go by the hospital tonight. Philip’s grandfather is in there fighting an infection. We wish him a speedy recovery. We have two Christmas Parties and Church tomorrow. I don’t want to miss church because it will be my last time for a while. Last week we missed it because we had to take Philip’s grandfather to the hospital. I can’t wait for church. I love my church. I am also looking forward to the Christmas parties. Each of my friends that are throwing the parties cook really well. They make the most delicious foods. I am excited to taste their wonderful creations.
It was my dad’s birthday yesterday and I wasn’t able to be with him to help him celebrate it. I am going to try and do that Sunday. I am blessed to have a father that cared a lot about us. He tried his best to raise us the way we should be. Thank you dad! My father gave me the desire to seek out a wonderful husband.
We need to grab dog food so they will not starve while we are gone. I am going to miss my little guy. He cuddles with me every single night while I am on the couch. When I get home he will not stop trying to get my attention until I pet him. It’s nice to come home to something that loves you that much. It’s nice to know something is that excited to see you. I will miss Duke too. He is such a good dog. I just can’t cuddle with him. He’s too big. I just hope Duke doesn’t bark all night while we have house sitters. When Philip goes out hunting and I am alone with the dogs, Duke knows he is the protector. He barks at every single noise through out the night. He DOES NOT DO THAT when Philip is home. I like that but at the same time it’s annoying. Some of the noises he barks at are ones he hears every day. Be good Duke.
We leave bright and early Tuesday. I can’t wait to see my sister. It’s been such a long time. I love all my sisters very much. I want the best for them and I think about them often. I wish Melissa wasn’t so far away. I also wish the same thing about Susie.
Pray for me while I am away. Pray that we have a safe flight to and fro.
Love ya,
Have a Merry Christmas.
